Quick Projects - Walkalong Glider

Image

When wind blows against a cliff or other big obstacle, the air that hits it rises up and helps provide extra lift for a type of flight called slope soaring. This special glider flies that way, and it’s a great challenge to see how long you can keep it in the air using slope lift!

The basic idea behind piloting a paper airplane with a piece cardboard is simple. Create an updraft and position the updraft correctly under the plane. Follow Foils all fly the same way, even Tumbling Wings.
