Arconic STEAM

AeroLab is the AMA's hands-on K-12 Learning curriculum. The lessons within this curriculum use inexpensive, readily available foam and balsa models for reliable platforms to permit students to better control the variables present in any experiment.  

The lesson plans cover scientific concepts and principles such as, but not limited to: 

• Newtons 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Laws 
• The conservation of energy  
• Potential and kinetic energy  
• Centripetal force  
• The four forces of flight 
• Gravity, weight, and mass  

AeroLab consists of twelve lessons and come with student worksheets with detailed directions and teachers notes. The first four lessons cover speed, potential energy, weight, and drag, and can be easily paired with provided quizzes to use as checks for understanding
